Saturday, February 20th, 1:00-2:30pm
When Jack Lenor Larsen first wintered in East Hampton, he observed how the bare oaks and beeches created such a grey landscape. This led to the planting of hundreds of conifers that now adorn LongHouse Reserve’s 16 acres. Join Alex Feleppa, LHR Horticulturist, for a special winter walk to identify and discuss everything from hemlock hedges to the largest stand of California redwoods in the northeast. Bring your curiosity, your questions, and be sure to dress appropriately.
Hot refreshments will be served.
