We are excited to announce the winner of the 2020 Ray Smith & Associates LongHouse Reserve Scholarship Award, Giovanna Porco! Giovanna is a graduating senior from Pierson High School in Sag Harbor, and will be off to the Fashion Institute of Technology in the fall with a major in fashion design and a minor in art. Giovanna has been coming to LongHouse for years and years, both with her school and on her own. She is passionate about fashion, photography and printmaking. Check out these images from Giovanna's portfolio and her winning fashion design from the 2019 Student Annual below.

From Giovanna's artist's statement:

"Visiting LongHouse brings my fantasy world to life; I always find myself inspired surrounded by nature. I love that LongHouse is a sacred place and celebrates nature while incorporating the beauty of art. More than anything, LongHouse has given me the opportunity to express my work in its true form. The sculptures throughout the property gave me a new perspective when creating: to find small details and create based on that."
