It has been nice to look back on this year and enjoy once again the lovely music performed at LongHouse.  From school age musicians to the best of the best, the air was filled with wonderful sounds!  Enjoy these photos and short videos of some of the 2016 musical performances.

At our Student Annual this past June, the Southampton Intermediate School Orchestra performed in small groups as guests arrived for our juried art show and awards ceremony.  They also performed "Shenandoah" that afternoon for which they won first place in the performing arts category.  Great job kids!

We also enjoyed the fantastic music of the Bridgehampton High School Marimba Band at the Student Annual - take a listen:

During our "Serious Moonlight" summer benefit,  we had serious star power with both Nico Muhly and Nona Hendryx in performance.  Check out the multi talented Ms. Hendryx with her Audio Tutu:

Our Opera al Fresco with Eve Queler in August featured two voices that thrilled the audience - soprano Eglise Gutierrez and tenor Marco Cammarota:

We also hosted our first ever Concert for Dogs with Laurie Anderson.  Over 100 furry friends and their owners joined us for an unforgettable concert for dogs and the people that love them, with part of the proceeds benefiting ARF of the Hamptons.

We ended our season with a bang with the Junior Council's Sonic Garden Party.  Two innovative artists, Bora Yoon and Colin Self, gave mesmerizing performances on a perfect summer evening.  The evening also included a Harry Bertoia sound installation as well as a rockin' drum circle after dark!

Come see us in 2017 where we will not only have art, but more music as well!
