Art Foray, the runaway hit at LongHouse in 2020, returns this year with a new roster of celebrated artists who have hidden their work within the Reserve. Curated by Scott Bluedorn with the guidance of the LongHouse Junior Council, Art Foray II combines art, nature, and exploration for a unique treasure hunt for families, individuals and the young, as well as the young at heart. Art Foragers are invited to follow photo clues to discover a piece of original art hidden on the LongHouse grounds and the chance to win it!
This year's Art Foray begins on August 20 and continues through October 9 with plenty of time in between for art foraging. With the help of the LongHouse map and the Art Foray pamphlet, art explorers will search, find, and photograph their discoveries, then post their findings on Instagram to be eligible to win. Participants may also email their findings to info@longhouse.org to enter the contest. Winners will be selected by a random drawing on Saturday, October 9 at 4pm and will be notified by LongHouse. Winning artwork can be collected during open hours.
The invited artists for Art Foray II includes: Scott Bluedorn, Chelsea Hrynick Browne, Saskia Friedrich, Mamoun Friedrich-Grosvernor, Robin Gianis, Mariah Keolani, Bastienne Schmidt, Jonathan Shlafer, and Aurelio Torres.
