The LongHouse Landscape Awards weekend is always a highlight of the horticultural scene on the East End and this year was exceptional.
The pre-awards lecture featured Deborah Nevins, recipient of the LHR Landscape Award, and Kris Jarantoski, recipient of the LHR Garden Direction Award. The luncheon and awards ceremony in the sunny gardens of LongHouse followed the lectures.
In addition to Deborah and Kris, the first ever Design Award went to Sunbrella for creating performance fabrics that encourage outdoor living. Garden Design magazine received the Award for Publication, inspiring readers to create their own wondrous landscapes and elevate the outdoor living experience. It was an exhilarating afternoon for all.
