Mother's Day Walk: Celebrating Female Creation (May 11)

Art & Garden Tour with docent Geoffrey Blatt

Cost:

FREE – $20.00 per person

Duration:

1h

Join us for a special tour on Sunday, May 11, from 2 - 3pm, led by LongHouse docent Geoffrey Blatt. Held on Mother’s Day, this guided walk celebrates the spring season of renewal through the lens of female-created art in the garden. Women are the mothers of all creation and invention, and their presence is deeply felt throughout the grounds. We’ll honor the powerful energy of our resident goddesses Yoko Ono, Toshiko Takaezu, and Grace Knowlton - whose orbs are newly arranged in the dune garden - and discover striking new works by Vadis Turner in the red garden and Jill Platner in the dawn redwood forest. All are welcome on this discovery to celebrate female creativity and connection.
