A successful garden is a four-season garden, and LongHouse is just that.  While many assume there is nothing to see in the garden in winter, LHR Horticulturist Alex Feleppa feels just the opposite.  “Winter is a perfect time to see the framework that creates a complete garden,” says Alex.  “Deciduous trees void of their leaves teach us about structure, form, and habit.  Notable bark is more apparent, whether on a specimen pine or mature crapemyrtle.  Evergreens you never noticed before now begin to take center stage.”  Join Alex and discover plants big and small, as he shows you how to expand the seasons of interest in your own garden.  Wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for this outdoor program.
